Batur Mountain is an active volcano in Indonesia and member of the Global Geopark Network. It is located in the Northeast of Bali, between two rounded calderas, large volcanic craters, which were formed around 22,000 years ago. “The area is rich in elements of macro- and micro-volcanic landforms produced by the volcano across several thousands of years”. “Batur Volcano stands out for its unique geology and grand scenery. From the cultural side, the Geopark showcases very specific local customs related to the Balinese Hindu religion.
Pick at 01:00 am at your Hotel area of Nusa Dua, Kuta or SANUR
From the hotel we will drive to the start point of the trekking, where you will have time to go the restroom, then your trekking guide will give you a safety procedure for your security, while he gives you all the equipment, such as:
· a backpack
· a headlight
· a trekking stick,
· gloves,
· 2x bottles of mineral water,
· candies and
· a light raincoat.
We will then start our adventure at 03:30am entering the tropical forest, surrounded by the amazing sounds of nature, to make your adrenaline pump up
Our professional trekking guides always monitor all the participants, making a joined group and going up together following your stamina, and always under control.
Around 06:00am we will arrive at the top of the crater to witness the spectacular views and the breathtaking sunrise from Batur Volcano (subject to weather conditions).
Your Breakfast will be served by your guide in the middle of that beautiful scenery. Your breakfast is made up of :
· hot tea or coffee,
· sandwich,
· croissant,
· banana,
· Balinese orange and
· a boiled egg.
After breakfast we will explore around the crater, which offers great panoramic views, and we will then go down a different path, arriving back to the same point where we began our Adventure.
We will then drive to a Hot Spring, where you will be able to feel the relaxation during one hour while you enjoy a fresh made juice and a local snack.
On the way back to your Hotel we will have excellent views of Batur Mountain and small villages and settlements, for your great memories and photos.
The estimated arrival time to your Hotel is around 12:00-13:30pm.
